Parentalidad y Teoría del Apego

By Dr.Mario Marrone & Elsa Wolfberg

Traditionally, psychoanalysis has been interested in isolated aspects of childhood experience, related to the psychic significance of food, sphincter control, childhood sexuality, the effects of the primary scene and unconscious fantasies in the structuring of the intrapsychic world.

Attachment theory allows longitudinal studies that include direct and prospective observation of both clinical and unclassified populations, which provides a detailed understanding of the factors associated with parenthood that play a role in the development of personality and child and youth psychopathology. These factors are always relational and range from the earliest or preverbal stage to the later stages of evolutionary development, including adolescence.

The contributions of this book account for the productivity of the attachment theory, which shows its fertility in different areas of society: education, mental health, social work, psychotherapies, etc.

This is the first volume of the three that make up the complete work Parenting and Attachment Theory. The second volume is Difficulties of Parenting. Forms of intervention, and the third Parenting and parenting in various contexts.
